Quilt for Jack

My mom made this awesome quilt for baby Jack.
She's amazing!

She said she used this quilt tutorial online and it was great!

Although she said it may be a little tricky for an amateur quilter.

Dressers, Hutches & a pretty Bed

I've been looking for a dresser for my Max and came across some great finds on KSL.

$90 in North Salt Lake

http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=22447452&cat=406&lpid=5&search=

It's a darling little piece! I would consider painting or stripping - the distressed look doesn't seem authentic to me but maybe the finish looks better in person. Still - darling lines, fun details. Someone needs to snatch this up for a steal!

And this is a fun piece... thinking this might work great for Max's room.
$150 in Salt Lake City

Fun mid century dresser $100 Layton

And look at this amazing antique bed!
Isn't it pretty?? Would be perfect in a little girl's room.
Full size - $135 in Murray

And you may notice I'm kind of obsessed with old Hoosier hutches. Here's a beauty I found today:

Something to do...

So, since I have all this time where I have to sit around a nurse a baby, I grab my laptop and browse my favorite websites for fun vintage (and some not) finds. And it's official. I've become obsessed with finding treasures on Etsy, Ebay & KSL! And I just thought since I can't buy them all (darn it!), I would share some of my findings with you.

Here is what I found today:

Look at that pretty little key! And the inside of this little vintage medicine cabinet is this gorgeous glossy minty teal color. A little pricey, but so beautiful!

Next...

If I didn't already have some great shakers, these would be mine - and for a steal! Just $14!

you can find them here:

and these little vintage tin plates would be so darling in a baby's or child's room $9.50!

Aren't they so sweet? Love the birds.

This next one isn't vintage, but I just love it.

I'm seeing Kantha quilts everywhere these days. They are so colorful & fun! I thought this was a really neat way to use them.

you can buy it here:

and last one for the night - a fun find on KSL. If you live near Eagle Mountain, Utah, you should pick up these beauties:

She's just asking $15 for the big one & $10 each for the smaller ones. Look on Etsy and you'll see these vintage letterpress boxes go for anywhere between $30-$100+ depending on the size. Great find!

Splash of color

I love little splashes of color. Sometimes I wish I could redo my whole house but maybe all I need is a little more color here & there to liven things up.
